Captured some great photographs with your Camera or Smartphone? Sometime even great pictures do also need editing therefore I’ve rounded up some free image editing applications which can help in getting most out of it.
Pixlr, an online browser based image editor and does not require any download at all. Pixlr got many of the same features as of Adobe Photoshop however in terms of capabilities it still lacks. Therefore, it is suggested to use it as a Pixlr not Photoshop. It allows you to either upload an image from your computer or open an image via URL or even from your Facebook account uploads.
Picfull, single click photo editing magic can be found here. If you wish to apply a quick filter on an image of yours it’s probably one of the best place to with various simple options available online.
Sumopaint, available in both versions online as well as downloadable form with two versions free and pro. The free version is not as capable as of the pro version and you’ll find it designed just like Adobe Photoshop.
Splashup, in the past known as Fauxto is one of the handy tool for the beginners. It allows you to import photos from third party sites such as Facebook, Flickr, Picassa and more along with uploading from your desktop. Splashup’s layout is similar to Photoshop but doesn’t support the shortcut keys.
PicMonkey, a web based app available in two versions free and pro. Great fun photo editing application through which you can convert any image into a funny picture, it also carries along filters as of Instagram.
Fotor, a similar tool as of PicMonkey with a huge selection of filters available online. You would also be able to find its extension for browser integration of Google Chrome. Although it does not work as smoothly as PicMonkey but contains way more cool and amazing filters if compared.
